Hi all,
Are there any special copyright rules which apply to microfilm/microform, or does it only depend on the actual material contained in the scans? I saw recently on some microforms of 18th century manuscripts something like 'any unauthorised reproduction of this material is against the law'. I assume this notice came from the company who made the forms on behalf of the library who houses them, and probably knew very little about the material they were scanning.

I don't believe their is any special rule regarding copyright on microfilms, the regular rules apply from sheet music even on microfilm.

Hi Sallen,
Thanks for your reply. That's also what I would have thought!
