Mozart Clarinet Concerto, Adagio for clarinet and strings

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to find an arrangement of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, II Adagio arranged for clarinet and string quartet (2 violins, viola and cello). I know there is a clarinet and strings version here on IMSLP but it doesn't look that great and it's not the instrumentation I'm after. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen any other versions around?

At first glance Oliver Seely's is for string trio but did you notice how many double strings there are in the Violin and Viola parts? With a little work you will be able to provide a Violin 2 part.

I think you should just play the concerto's original string parts, downloadable from IMSLP, and leave out the double bass and the other woodwinds. There's nothing absolutely essential contributed by the missing lines, at least in the Adagio. I think you'll be surprised as to how well this works out -- no arrangement needed and it's all Mozart, all the time.

PS: Faced with your problem, this is the solution I think Mozart would recommend, and it is perfectly in keeping with 18th-century performance practice.
