I am playing fuge 20 in a minor from Bach's WTC book 1. I have run into a section where eight notes are connected to sixteen notes via the same beam, and I don't know wether to treat the eight notes like eights or sixteens. This is a really weird setup to me, so I was wondering if someone could help me. The image link is provided below. Its just imageshack. No viruses or any craziness. Thank you.

Re: Musical Notation Help
Hi, what you see there is two fugal voices that cross parts: the eighth notes are to be played as eighth notes; the lower part (stems down) has two sixteenth notes which fit into the time for one of the upper part's eighth notes.bohenry wrote:I am playing fuge 20 in a minor from Bach's WTC book 1.
