Library Music Source, Serious Competion
It seems like this online music library might be considered by some to outrank IMSLP. Any thoughts on this phenomenon?
Re: Library Music Source, Serious Competion
What library? Could we have a link?

This is a good joke, allegroamabile.
A link: http://www.librarymusicsource.com/
1. This is not free. IMSLP is free and available to all.
2. It is the spawn of CDSM, most of which we have - OM is going to be completely uploaded by the end of the year, at this rate.
3. We actually have most of their collection (Songs of Schubert and Schumann, complete works of Chopin, Brahms, Handel, and Bach, which they advertise).
4. We have more than they do, both in terms of total pieces, total scores, total page, etc. IMSLP is expanding daily at a high rate, and this source is not.
In short, I do not think that Library Music Source, an inferior collection that is not free and available to the public, is a serious threat.

Re: Library Music Source, Serious Competion
Sorry for the confusion everybody, this was meant as sarcasm. My school music library's home page has a link to this website and not to here, and the librarian is well aware of IMSLP. That is one reason why I inserted the frivolous remark that some think that library is superior to ours.
Re: Library Music Source, Serious Competion
I find it hard to believe they have that much if all they rely on is CD Sheet Music and the parts libraries...

How about..Public Library Plans
File downloads included: Unlimited
Number of months included: 12
Starts at: $ 300
Public Domain Plans
File downloads included: Unlimited
Number of months included: Unlimited
Starts (and finishes) at: $0
Which one would you go for? (not to mention that the layout looks like kiddy stuff at LMS..)
OH, and apparently, their "Individual Starter Plan" is the same as their "Demo", only the first one costs 10 dollars, the second is free. Funny...
