Been looking everywhere for this score...does anyone happen to have it?

It's not public domain. Waxman died in 1967 making it still under copyright in Canada and most of the world. From what I can tell, it was published in the late 40's and the piano reduction edited by Jascha Heifetz, so decidedly under copyright worldwide in this case.

i've looked into getting it. i think you have to get it from the waxman estate unfortunately...and it's somewhere around $60-80.

Is this for violin solo?
Why worry about the Waxman? Didn't Sarasate already write a "Carmen" fantasy long ago??? (Well, yes: op. 25, around 1883...)

It's violin and orchestra. Of course, there's also a piano reduction.
And it's a nice piece, quite worthwhile (it was, after all, commissioned by Heifetz, who surely knew the Sarasate). There's hoards of other Carmen fantasies out there too...
