[FEAT] IMSLP as linked data

Hello!

I would really like to see IMSLP available as linked data, and integrated with other linked data sources.

Linked data is basically RDF+HTTP, allowing to publish databases on the web and interlink them together.
There is already a RDF vocabulary dealing with such music data, which has been used to interlink a number of music-related datasets.
There is also a dedicated mailing list for all things linked data.

I am really willing to contribute on that, I think I'd just need a database or XML dump to start with.

Cheers, and congratulations for today' announcement :-)

Sounds like what IMDBP is for: http://imdbp.org/wiki/Main_Page .

Hmm. I can't see any mention of RDF or some ways to get structured data out of IMDBP? Or maybe I didn't look in the right place?

However, it is possible that the scope of IMDBP might be a better fit. Is there a dedicated forum for it?

I'd also like to mention Semantic MediaWiki, which does all this linked data stuff automatically.

I'll create a forum (within this forum) for it soon.

I think Semantic Mediawiki (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Semantic_MediaWiki) would be ideal for IMDBP.
I set up a little demo on my test wiki -
It would only be necessary to change http://imdbp.org/wiki/MediaWiki:FTE:imdbppage to something like http://test.formationos.net/index.php?t ... late:Imdbp to get IMDBP publishing linked data.
Pages in main namespace would look like http://test.formationos.net/index.php?t ... 2C_Ernest). (Getting rid of the warning symbols required the ParserFunctions extension - http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:ParserFunctions - to allow the template to have optional properties). More importantly, semantic searches would be possible (for example, http://test.formationos.net/index.php?t ... C-20Ernest) and lists could be automatically generated, as at http://test.formationos.net/index.php?t ... y_Chausson.

I also would be happy to contribute on this.
