This should provoke a few responses:

Put in order, from most-liked to least liked, Bach's six Brandenburg Concertos. If you want, you can add a comment to each as to why you like it (or not). My sequence is:
5, 3, 1, 4, 6, 2

Hello Beckmesser,

my precedence is the same - at least at the beginning of the list. For me the two last-named are equivalent.

My most liked is the same as yours - No. 5  Absolutely beautiful

Well the rest will be 4, 3, 1, 6, 2.
No. 4 is also very nice.

The subtle instrumentation of No 6 is a winner for me - although often we don't hear Bach's specified line-up of 2 violas, 2 gambas, cello, violone & continuo.

As a recorder-player I enjoy No 2 the best - and with a good trumpeter the balance 'problems' aren't serious at all.

I ought to enjoy No 4 too - but all too often it's played by some whizz-kid violinist on a modern violin, and the recorders (who are supposed to be equal partners in the concertino group) are left puffing away in the background, almost drowned-out. Happens nearly every time. I keep an old Dolmetsch plastic recorder for this piece, which has a bore like a bazooka - but still not enough against a modern violinist.

Of course the others are all magnificent in their own ways :))
