IMSLP and Contemporary Composers

Post by Synival »

Hey everybody,

I'm a composer myself and I'm working hard to get pieces I've written off the ground and into the real world. Does IMSLP offer (or plan to offer) and services for active composers, or will it always be strictly public domain scores? This site is such a great resource (so glad it's back!), it would be cool if I could at least have samples of stuff here or something.

If you wish to have your pieces on IMSLP (and essentially advertised for free), there are two criteria:
1)They must be licensed as Creative Commons license or released into the public domain (though I strongly advice against the latter).
2)You must accept the Amazon adverts that will be on the composition page.

Creative Commons: www.creativecommons.org/license/
www.creativecommons.org

IMSLP actually encourages you to host your compositions here, they are most certainly welcome.
