I have transcribed the lessons into musescore and would like to be able to upload them so that others can use and improve them
How can I do this?

Can you please start by telling us what your source score was: exact title, publisher, and publication date, as well as the birth and death date of the author. This is a good start on establishing the public domain status of the work. Thanks.

Ah, I didn't realize it was something we already had. So PD status is determined. I think the next step is to compile your version into a PDF file. Then you can go to the work page and, under scores, you will see "Add a score file to this page". Click on that, and go from there. Post back here if something isn't clear or goes wrong in the process.

They are MuseScore files - they are to be played on MuseScore - I can convert them to MusicXML but PDF is pointless.

Well, since PDF is for standardization purposes the only format accepted by IMSLP, there really isn't much choice in the matter. You could embed the source file into the PDF, however - that would be a (hopefully) workable compromise alternative.

I don't think I was quite clear - when I said "embed the source file into the PDF", I meant the PDF of the music, not just a blank page. Sorry, but the file you uploaded had to be removed as it was still functionally useless for most people (anyone not versed in the art of PDF manipulation would assume there was no music in the file).

Tom, your only option to share your transcriptions is to generate a PDF from the MuseScore output, then attach the typeset file to the resulting PDF. If possible, it would also be nice to attach a MusicXML file so that others who do not use MuseScore (the two top notation packages are Sibelius and Finale) can translate your work into their program of choice.
