Hello:
I'm wondering if it would be fine if I split some of the audio recordings from IGSM, which are licensed under CC-BY-NC-ND. Would splitting the recording count as a derivative that the ND clause provides against? I'm guessing no, but just want to make sure.
Thanks,
Lekro.

Probably not. On archive.org, there are a fair number of hour-long radio broadcasts released under similar licenses which include recordings of works that would go very nicely onto an IMSLP page. A derivative would be incorporating a segment into a new compilation.

Ok. In that case, I have many split files from ISGM that I can upload that will make much more sense than the corresponding combined files.Carolus wrote:Probably not.
