Texture in a Beethoven sonata

If some one said what's the texture of say a piano sonata (could be 1, 2, 7 etc) by Beethoven what are we looking out, basically what are we going to tell them? I've been reading about texture though am still kind of confused in how to describe a composition in terms of texture, though for this ques...

This may seem a daft question; If a song is in 2/2 time, do we still refer to a 1/4 note as a 1/4 note, even though the value of it has changed. Do 8th notes become 16th notes? Re: Mozart Piano Concerto (24) Horns in Eb/Trumpet in C?

Thanks for the replies! For Mozart of course it's not a relic -- the trumpet COULDN'T play outside the fundamentals. So being in C, it'll relate to C minor just fine (all C means is that it's notated at concert pitch, so a C will sound C....just fine when the only notes it can play are C and G outsi...

Mozart Piano Concerto (24) Horns in Eb/Trumpet in C?

Hi all, I've got the score for Mozart's Piano Concerto in C Minor, Number 24. I really need some clarification on something to do with the key signature for the Corni in Es/Horn in Eb and the Trombe in C/Trumpet in C. The concerto is in the key of C MInor which has three flats, the clarinet has one ...
