Corelli's Sonata a Quattro (woo4)
Schissel has recently made several revisions to this page. It seems he ignored the rather detailed bibliographic reference provided for the source: Arcangelo Corelli, Historisch-kritische der Gesamtausgabe musikalischen Werke, Bd. V: Werke ohne Opuszahl, ed. Hans Joachim Marx, Arno Volk/Hans Gerig, ...

Albinoni Adagio in G minor
The page on this work has to be completely revised in light of the material in Dr. Nicola Schneider's dissertation La tradizione delle opere di Tomaso Albinoni a Dresda pp. 181-86 (Cremona, 2007). In particular, the music that Giazotto based his work on is now available to us. It has a stamp from th...

Re: Albinoni-Giazotto Adagio
He could say anything he wanted, but most people agree he was lying http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adagio_in_G_minor Have you looked at that site recently? The discovery by musicologist Muska Mangano, Giazotto's last assistant, of a modern but independent manuscript transcription of the figured bass ...

Re: Albinoni-Giazotto Adagio
No, actually the whole thing was written by Giazotto. That Albanoni had anything to do with it is a hoax. Giazotto said that he'd composed it using a thematic idea and a figured bass by Albinoni. It wasn't his fault that some misinformed people attributed the whole thing to Albinoni. One suspects t...

Albinoni-Giazotto Adagio
I understand this work is copyright-protected. It seems Ricordi holds the rights. So to whom do I address a request for permission or a license to publish or distribute a derived work? The Ricordi web site doesn't seem to have any such contact.

Overture No. 2 (Boyce, William)
Hi. I created a new work page for this today but when I tried to add a file was informed that the page had been deleted in June. What's wrong?

Re: Purcell Suite Z770
I sent a permission request to musicsales.co.uk but have so far heard nothing. In the meantime I've tracked down the versions that Purcell used subsequently and composed new inner parts for the Bourée. So I now have a Dart-free suite ready to upload. But I'll wait another couple of weeks to see if I...

Re: Purcell Suite Z770
A published collection of Purcell works arranged for recorders has the relevant movements, including the Dart completions, so either they're out of bounds or they managed to get permission. The volume as a whole and the Suite in particulat are copyright Novello. Would the current owners of the Novel...

Purcell Suite Z770
This suite is incomplete in a manuscript. Thurston Dart, in his role as editor for the relevant volume of the Purcell Society series, completed the Suite by filling in the inner parts or adapting Purcell material from other sources. He died in 1971. The Purcell Society volume was published in 1959. ...

Re: Henry Purcell Chacony (Z. 730)
The Pavane of the "Pavane and Chacony" at IMSLP is in fact Z.752. The Purcell Quartet version at youtube seems to be with three violins but it sure sounds like viol music to me.

Re: Henry Purcell Chacony (Z. 730)
I've just noticed that there's a work page for a "Pavan and Chacony". The Chacony movement is the same work (Z.730) I'm trying to upload scores for (but an arrangement for three violins) and the Pavan is a separate work, likely Z.751 or 752 and likely for viols. The Pavane should have a se...

Henry Purcell Chacony (Z. 730)
Tried to create a new work page and submit scores and arrangement scores but I've done something wrong. The "add file" button takes me to an "Undefined" page different from the work page I partially created. Please straighten out the mess and I'll add the scores.

Re: IMSLP to merge with WIMA
I've noticed there are now Synthesized/MIDI tabs on work pages. Are we now allowed to copy midis from WIMA to IMSLP? Where do I find the relevant instructions?

Re:corrected scores
I've found a few timing errors in one of the scores I contributed to WIMA (and have transferred to IMSLP). How do I submit a corrected score to replace the faulty one?

Re: IMSLP to merge with WIMA
After spending two hours creating a submission, I find that my capcha responses are not accepted. Am I not a human? The capchas seem to be of the form 1 - 2 + 3. If I submit 123, it's rejected. If I try to submit 1-2+3, I'm not allowed to enter the final digit; I can only submit 1-2+, which of cours...
