Re: Main Page redesign! Commemorative 10th Aniv edition
Is there a way to notify all the admins about the redesign? I know people don't always check the forums regularly but might want to chime in if they knew this was going on.

Re: Main Page redesign (kind of)
Thanks for the good suggestions, Noqu. Made some adjustments and did some cleanup. I removed the About us section since it is already linked at the bottom and the logo comment doesn't really make sense now that the "A" has been reworked into an obscured background image. Moved News to the ...

Re: Main Page redesign (kind of)
The left sidebar already serves as a "left side" so I don't think it makes sense to move anything else to the left. Pretty soon you end up with too many squished columns.

Re: Main Page redesign (kind of)
I kind of liked that too (putting News at the top right) and only ended up not liking it because the news section doesn't seem important enough to demand top page billing. I also thought putting news and about us at the bottom balanced the two columns out more. With NEWS at the top right, it ends up...

Main Page redesign! Commemorative 10th Aniv edition
So I made a revised layout for the mainpage that I think looks a lot better without being a radical change that will make people complain. I encorporated the new logo and made some graphical changes since we were having three different "logo" looks between the text title, the new logo, and...

Re: 30 day tagging Marathon in July 2015!
To be fair I don't anyone has signed on who doesn't have a lot of experience with the behind the scenes editing of imslp and as long as you know where your limits are in terms of tagging the learning curve is pretty simple once you find some examples to copy. I highly doubt the time it takes to doub...

Re: 30 day tagging Marathon in July 2015!
You should try messaging all the admins to see if others will join. I only saw this by complete chance otherwise I would have never heard about it.

Re: 30 day tagging Marathon in July 2015!
I will most likely be able to volunteer. That should be enough of a verbal commitment to count toward the ten.

Re: Appeal for Help with Sibley Project
I was told they would still continue scanning things from the vault now that their major funding is over but it would be at a much much slower pace.

Re: Appeal for Help with Sibley Project
Just received word from Sibley's head librarian that the large-scale scanning project is over (and actually has been for about a month). So now we just need to circle the wagons and get these things up. Where are all the WIMA people when you need them... :P Thanks to those of you who have been chipp...

Re: Haydn Symphonies - Robbins Landon
I spent some time looking for these as well but with no luck. The ones on IMSLP are from the haydn107.com website which hosted those low resolution versions but since then they seem to have taken them down from their site. In any case, if Barenreiter doesn't put them online like they did with the NM...

updating preview image
Just uploaded some new versions of files after cleaning out bowings and markings. How do I go about changing the preview image to reflect the cleaner version?

Re: Can anyone work uploading this material?
Don't waste your time on Photoshop! If you just need to remove the copyright tag from the bottom of every image it is much easier to use the program Briss from http://briss.sourceforge.net/ . With this program you load the entire pdf at once and then crop off the bottom from the entire thing. Will s...

NMA Barenreiter frontmatter
In the process of adding some NMA scores and I noticed we have frontmatter uploaded for at least one mozart symphony: http://imslp.org/wiki/File:PMLP01500-Mozart,_Wofgang_Amadeus-NMA_04_11_Band_01_00_Vorwort_scan.pdf To my eye this should still be fully copyright everywhere since it is original text...

Re: Appeal for Help with Sibley Project
It looks like we may finally have reached the end of the Sibley Collection as uploads on their end are now only a handful a week. So anyone who would like to help or get involved with expanding the IMSLP collection could assist in either filtering the Link List (identifying collections or non-pd wor...
