Re: Favicon
Carolus: woah, that sounds nice! I am terribly at drawing, but I will give it a try. If someone else is better (which includes pretty much everyone else ) please do draw something as mine is most probably going to suck terribly..
Re: Favicon
Oh, ok.. *phew* I thought I had *actually* written part of the german national anthem (or even worse, a nazi anthem) for a second there... Well, this can be easily solved by just writing something very chromatic - I doubt any fans of Schönberg's would come screaming trying to find the infidel who us...
Re: Favicon
Philidor: really?! I swear I had no idea.. Which German anthem is that - the one I found on youtube doesn't sound like it.. (I just literally put random notes on the staff..) PML: As far as I know, individual notes on the middle line of the staves can go either way, but usually follow the direction ...

Re: At long last, google knows
Google is not something entirely solid. Results vary according to your preferences (if you are logged on), and according to where you're accessing google from (google.com shows slightly different results than google.co.uk, for example). google.com: "free sheet music" -> 32 "online mus...

Piece Styles
I was adding a piece of mine today, and I came across the "Piece style" drop-down menu, and I thought that it's not very representative. It needs to be clear what we mean by "Piece style" - do we mean "the period in which the piece was written"? Because the drop-down me...
Re: Favicon
Ok, I had a try at designing something. Just to make things clear: I don't expect this to appear on the IMSLP front-page tomorrow. I did not draw this as an attempt to set the logo, but just to keep things going, and anyone is (obviously) free to add, correct, remove, tamper with, or change entirely...

Re: New genre needed - Electronic Music
Great, thanks a lot KGill! I will upload my piece soon (once I clear up the score a bit and add a CC tag). So at the moment we just have to change the genre manually, right? I will ask Feldmahler if he can add it to the drop-down list, as -as he said in the other thread about the changes in genres- ...

Re: New genre needed - Electronic Music
No, but that would be no reason for not creating the page. In particular, I have an electronic piece which I could upload, and of course it would be easier for other people who might have electronic compositions with scores to upload them if there is already such a category. When the first symphony ...

Re: Cambridge University Attendees---IMSLP needs your help!
That's a bit nasty.. I would hope the guys in Cambridge University would be more open-minded than that. Would it be of any disadvantage (to the people from Cambridge who would try and get these scores) if you sent an e-mail? You could just send an e-mail that asks for people from Cambridge Universit...

Re: Cambridge University Attendees---IMSLP needs your help!
Have you sent an e-mail to Cambridge University itself to ask if they can forward this to any people interested/music students? If you write a formal letter on behalf of IMSLP, I am sure they will forward it. I will send an e-mail around my uni and see if I get any responses. Best of luck, we need t...

MIT Project
Does anyone know what is happening with the MIT project? Last time I checked, the page we were given to upload scores from is now username/password protected, and thus inaccessible. I have personally not been informed of a username and password we can use to access the files so we can continue worki...

Re: Cambridge University Attendees---IMSLP needs your help!
Is this Cambridge University, UK? Or a similarly-named one in the US? If it's in the UK I can send an e-mail around my uni (which is in London) asking if anyone knows anyone working or studying in Cambridge. If it's in the US, good luck :) Can the rest of us know a bit more about the project, or not...

Re: Page about 'Used Sheet Music Stores'
I added quite a few second-hand shops in the UK (mostly England, but also one in Scotland). There are some non-music specialist shops, but they have significant sections on used sheet music. I also changed the layout a bit to make it more eye-candy and more easy to use. I copied the table from the M...

Re: Page about 'Used Sheet Music Stores'
Yes, but usually they are based in one country and it would be a lot cheaper (and faster) for citizens of that country to use it. Of course, no one stops people from other countries to take a look at the online second-hand music shops for scores of other countries in your list. What's more, the cont...
