Kalli, is it clearly new typesetting in your 2006 score, or is there an editorial foreword explaining any large musicological changes to an older score? If not, and the score appears to be an old typeset with no sign of any revisions or changes since it was engraved, then the 2006 copyright would be...

Hooray! It is the Korngold! :) :)

Quality isn't brilliant as you say with all of those tram tracks, but its quite readable.

(And yes Peter, I do know the difference between my Bruges and my Bruxelles!)

I'll get my coat.

(Seriously, no offence intended :) Looking forward to seeing it, nice work Lyndon.

I would guess Ryurik is not the main translator, since he was still alive in 1961 and would surely have been credited correctly on that publication, if he were. My Russian literacy is only just above struggling through the Cyrillic alphabet: I can read enough to sing Church Slavonic provided I've ha...

Re: Respighi

Much as it is a pity that those in the US are penalized by not being able to obtain pre-1923 works just because the composer had the temerity to die less than 70 years ago. Let’s not forget the evil copyright colonialism that has the USA pushing “life+70” terms on everyone in the name of “Free Trad...

Straight off the bat without looking at the piece (it's 2:40am and I should have been in bed hours ago), Heller is in the PD, so the V* would be merited because of editorial additions to the work?

Dear Xotan, I am afraid you are incorrect. The various versions of the Pini di Roma are not blocked because of a pending copyright review, they are blocked because the work is not in the public domain in the US, and therefore we would require permission to be granted by the rights holder for us to m...

I don't think uploaded files can be “moved”, possibly without breaking things. You might have to upload new copies, with distinct IMSLP #s from the original set. It would be nice if the existing IMSLP #s could be retained but I doubt it would be possible. Calling Feldmahler!?! (Why don’t you send hi...

Hi Alhambra, Nice scan, and interesting to see the composer’s own markings as well as various conducting scribbles! Regards, Philip I wouldn’t worry about apologising for the brusqueness of other posters! Intent is often easily mistaken in text-based forums, and the answer was probably not meant to ...

The ampersand in the filenames (A&E) are jamming up the works: it makes it almost impossible to navigate to the page. I don't know if file uploads can be “moved”, in the same way Wiki pages can be. Feldmahler or a Mediawiki expert would know? In the mean time, I suggest leaving the Introduction ...

I wouldn’t rush to start removing the text wholesale. I am still curious why there is such confusion as to who actually provided what. According to Wikipedia (I think it was, while I was scouring the web yesterday), young Zakharia first learned music from one of his older brothers, Ivan: that may ac...
