Sibelius - Vattendroppar (Water Drops)

Just listened to this great, short piece for pizz violin and cello.
I believe it was written in the 1880s so hopefully someone has it! :)

Thanks!

Piece for Sop, Guitar, Violin, Clarinet

Hi, As part of a school group, we have put together a small ensemble (again :| ) consisting of a Soprano voice, Acoustic Guitar, Violin and Clarinet. Are there any suggestions for a piece we could play (preferably on IMSLP)? I was thinking maybe an aria from an Opera wih some sort of reduction, but ...

Pieces for a motley crew (ensemble)

Hi, As part of Music class at school, we are assessed on group performances. However, there is quite a wide range of instruments (as whoever is in the class must play), and it is often hard to find the right material. Luckily, we split the group up, so all the 'classical' instruments are together wi...

Songs for Bass Voice?

Hi,
I have an audition coming up, and being a bass I am feeling rather neglected in terms of solo music.
My range is from two octaves below middle C to middle C (pitiful I know, I can push a D).
Are there any ideas for music? It doesn't have to be on IMSLP, modern music is great too.

Thanks!

Dvorak: Gavotte in G Minor for 3 Violins, B. 164

A really nice piece that may be difficult to find; a search reveals no sheet music and the only recordings are in "Complete Dvorak" type albums.

Thanks!

Just for an example, I wanted to get to Dvorak's page just then. Search isn't an option, because it always returns pieces by Dvorak, not the composer page. Instead I had to go to the index, D, then Dvorak among the many lesser known composers. They are no less important, true, but someone is more li...

[Feat] Category: Composers should have a 'popular' page

Hi, I think it would be really handy to have in the contents of the composers category a Popular page which has the 200 most visited composers (which are also listed under the relevant letter). Some may chastise me for it, but I most often navigate to 'big' composers such as Beethoven, Dvorak, Mozar...

Violinist wants to learn piano

Hi, I'm a violinist (of about 9 years, although most don't count since I'm ex-suzuki, but that's an argument for another day) doing my grade 7 and 8 AMEB next year, although I'm not quite sure as to what that translates to in the rest of the world. I've been wanting to learn piano for a while now, b...

Wow, that's great! Yet it also shows an underlying flaw. That didn't come up under Vivaldi's page (or at least not as rv 522 or concerto for 2 violins etc.)

Thanks a ton!

Vivaldi: Concerto for Two Violins in A minor, RV 522

Hi,
Played this piece a while back, and I'd love to again. I noticed there aren't many pieces listed by Vivaldi. Its a shame the Four Seasons overshadows all his other (some better) works.

Thanks!
