Re: Leopold Auer Graded Course of Violin Playing

Anything published in 1926 and 1927 is definitely in the public domain in the US. Since Auer died in 1930, all of those things should also be public domain in Canada/the EU and pretty much everywhere else too. Anyone who has access should feel free to upload these if they can.

Re: Respighi: Concerto a cinque

Yes. This piece was published by Ricordi in 1934. And you can currently buy a copy (in reprint) from Musikproduktion Höflich. I am getting up a copy now. I will add the full score first and the parts later. ed. full score now here and parts are here - https://imslp.org/wiki/Concerto_a_cinque_(Respig...

Re: Paderewski Editions in US

Since Paderewski died in 1941, his works were never URAA-eligible to begin with, and this was published without a notice. Therefore, that edition is PD-US.

I have not experienced this on any PDFs from the site. I don't know what your issue might be. Can you point me to a PDF which causes this issue on your viewer?

Re: Arrangements/Orchestrations by IMSLP contributors.

It's true that not all the arrangements are very good musically. We are working on a system to better highlight the higher-quality items on each page. Indeed, though, reviewing and rating the quality of each item submitted from a musical standpoint would be beyond the job description of a reviewer o...

Re: Foerster string quintet op 3

Your math is off, Eric — Foerster died in 1951... he is PD in Life+70 countries since 2022, so his works should be PD in Japan.

Re: Respighi: Preludio, Corale e Fuga

I'm pretty sure the 1986 item is a copy of the 1901 score and parts. I'm also fairly confident this wasn't widely published before then, although it was definitely performed in 1901 (we even have a photo) and so it's PD-Canada.

Re: Respighi: Preludio, Corale e Fuga

No idea. But also, your listing does not say anywhere that it was published in 1901. It is, I believe, saying it was composed in 1901.

Re: Respighi: Preludio, Corale e Fuga

I can upload it soon.

I have the manuscript score and parts, which have a © 1986 notice. This is probably nonsense related to a "limited publication" claim. The work is certainly PD-Canada and eligible for IMSLP, anyway. So I'll have it up soon.

Re: Schumann Urtext by C. F. Peters

I'd remove the fingerings. But wouldn't you assume that given no other indication the editor of the volume provided the fingerings?
