Also check out http://www.corno.de/. They list their source editions (for example http://www.corno.de/webshop/Horn---Orch ... -Horn.html).

Re: Rosetti Horn Concerti
There are more rosetti concerti than that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Rosetti . You can probably get them through interlibrary loan. Check worldcat. The most commonly available editions I believe were published by KaWe. Much of their horn library is now published by Hans Pizka: http://www....

Strauss Horn Concert Op.11 (Horn and Piano)
I've seen a couple printings of Strauss' Horn Concerto No.1 arranged for horn and piano which look like reprints of the same edition (Possibly Universal Edition Nr.1039a ?): - International Edition: No.1715 - Kalmus: K.04130 (Reprint of Belwin Mills) - Cundy-Bettoney (Carl Fischer): (I remember this...

The myth of the pre-1923 public domain

The exception this article mentions probably doesn't affect anything here on IMSLP. But it does show how difficult it is to determining the public-domain status of some items.

Re: a Life+50yrs lilypond project hosted by IMSLP FTP server
This stemmed from the life+50 requirement. Perhaps I misunderstood. If the music is public domain in the US then the repository doesn't have to be hosted in Canada. If Xinghai Xian's music is the focus for now and it is public domain in the US then it can be hosted in the US.

Re: Adding Links to Wikipedia
The original question was asking about making links on Wikipedia articles to ISMLP work pages, not the other way around. Perhaps I'm parsing the original question backwards, but I believe it was talking about making links IMSLP->Wikipedia. I'm not sure that linking IMSLP work pages to Wikipedia art...

Re: a Life+50yrs lilypond project hosted by IMSLP FTP server
If a distributed version control system is used (git, hg, bzr, darc, etc.) and enough people check it out and keep it updated then it should be fairly safe. Individuals can do better backups if they want. Hosting on github is an option, but it would not work if Canadian copyright law is needed (unfo...

Re: Adding Links to Wikipedia
I was thinking about this the other day also. I think it would be quite useful. There are some articles which already do this: http://imslp.org/wiki/Pini_di_Roma_(Res ... _Ottorino). Though it would be nice if somehow it were more prominently displayed instead of hidden at the bottom of the page.

Solo beginnings
There's an interesting thread on the horn mailing list: "Name compositions for orchestra (including concerti) that begin with a one single, solo instrument." Here is their current (unverified) list: Beethoven: Piano Concerto No.4 - Piano Beethoven: Violin Concerto Op.40 - Violin Brahms: Pi...

Janá?ek Concertino upload
I took my best guess on the publisher. WorldCat show 1949 as a possible publishing date. The wikipedia page for the piece shows 1926 as the first publishing. I'm pretty sure I got the publisher correct, but I'm not sure about the date. Does this seem correct?

Re: Anybody use a Mustek A3 1200 scanner?
Also there aren't any working SANE drivers so using it on unix or linux is out. I've used it through a windows virtual machine in the past which works well enough. I agree with Daphnis: the software is crap. I wouldn't really trust any bundled scanner software to make good PDFs.
