Color is used often for facsimile scans, but we can probably make it smaller. Monochrome or black and white might work here instead of color. PM me the link, I'll take a look.

These results make much more sense to me. It's nice to know there are some studies and personal experiences showing some benefits. Thanks for sharing. That's neat that they've found some linked physical phenomena too. I know music affects us even when we don't think about it (e.g. the supermarket or...

ha ha ha... And here's a thought: if the following 2 statements are true - 1. What a baby hears in his/her mother's womb and in infancy influences future intelligence. 2. Mozart was a genius. - then shouldn't we all be exposing our pregnant women and babies to the music of Leopold Mozart? after all...

Very cool to have a return date. I'm looking forward to more details.
Will there be pizza and beer (or Diet Coke for those boring people like me who don't drink)?
Sounds like fun. Although I don't even drink diet coke. I'll bring lemonade :).

I have to say that I agree to some degree with CameronMB on the lack of updates. What the heck is going on?

Who is going to be the parent organization?
What percentage of work is done?
Is any help needed?

This type of stuff would be very useful on the wiki.

there are 5 mp3 files there, one for each movement of the symphony (highly recommended) and the 5th is the lecture.
Hmm.. I don't see the lecture mp3.

I've just been to Mutopia and you've done a great job with "Auf dem Strom!" Cool Singers and horn players everywhere will thank you. It is not a universally known piece, and apart from IMSLP there were not many places that one could obtain a score, let alone a free one. Thanks! I had to f...

Franz Schubert "Auf dem Strom" D.943

Does anyone know the source of the scan of this piece that was on IMSLP? I have the PDF and I'm wanting to submit a version of it to Mutopia so I need the publication information. Thanks.

It must be an "Aussie" thing.
Nah, I'm in the US and I understood it. I did room with an Australian once for about 5 months so perhaps that warped my mind :). (He went through great pains to explain cricket and australian rules to me)

Public domain video

http://www.archive.org/details/malamud_berkeley_2007_lecture I came across this video and found it quite interesting what he is doing. His organization acquires (i.e. buys) public domain materials (mostly US government documents) and then redistributes them free of charge. In one scheme used to fin...

And speaking of contradictions, they somehow managed to misspell "IMSLP" as "IMLSP" throughout the entire severance letter. I don't know how that was possible, but apparently it was. "IMSLP? Of course we think it's great. We had a problem with 'IMLSP'. It is quite different...

I think it depends on the license you choose. I think the most simplistic view of CC liceses is that you can choose commercial vs non-commercial use and allow modifications, allow modifications if shared, and no modification. The main advantage of IMSLP regardless of the license is a huge audience (...
